Caribbean Botanical Designs is owned and operated by Jeff and Nelisa Wuilliez

Jeff Wuilliez is a biologist by degree and prior to starting Caribbean Botanical Designs, implemented and headed the surface water monitoring program of Dare County, North Carolina. Jeff’s love of tropical landscaping grew while helping set up the herbarium at the College of the Bahamas during his college years. Jeff moved to the island of St. Lucia in 1998 to start a bonsai business with some friends and family and shortly after Caribbean Botanical Designs was created. While in St. Lucia Jeff also spent lots of time hunting and cataloging the island’s native orchid species. Jeff’s passion for horticulture and gardening is the driving force behind this company and is matched only by his attention to detail, even the smallest ones. In his spare time Jeff enjoys fishing, vegetable gardening, bonsai gardening and taking care of his growing orchid collection.
